Across the Bridge and Over the Fields by ladymagpie

Across the Bridge and Over the Fields

Lady Magpie has been goecaching again and of course the camera came along as well. I had traveled across country to find this little bridge over a stream and as often with these hides the clue tells you to think like a troll, who as you know lived under the bridge.

With the cache found I had a long route home across several fields. In the second picture I have my back to the bridge, and If you look closely to the left you will just make out an electric pylon above the trees, this is near where my car was parked. So the path went up to the first tree on the right and then diagonal across the fields.

That all sounds great doesn't it, so now for the terrible part of this walk. Where those trees are in front of the pylon is the corner of the huge local sewage works. It was a very hot day and I was down wind of the place and I wish my photograph had smelly vision. Perhaps this little bridge should be named Poo Bridge and you can throw poo sticks off it. View with the black background.
All your geocache adventures are fun to hear about. I can almost smell this one. Yuck

I was viewing this lovely countryside capture while thinking of the sweet smell of green grass and a cool breeze. Then I reached the last paragraph of your adventure and that dream died quickly! Nicely captured and a fun write up!

You are getting your exercise, good for you! It looks really beautiful, so I am glad that 'smelly vision' is not included!

I have a friend that loves geocaching as much as you. It's always fun to hear about "the chase" that is involved by all of you. Beautiful countryside.

That little bridge doesn't look very passable! As for the smell - I'd be fine. Lost my sense of smell a few years ago! Great captures :)

Looks like a beautiful day and lovely countryside walk and geocaching adventure! Thanks, but you needn't add the smelly vision. I enjoy the amusing commentary though.

I've often wanted smell o vision with our cameras, but in this case I'm heartily glad that it does't exist...yet! Hope the geo cache was worth the pong.....the scenery certainly looks good.
