The whole idea of my new bird feeder right outside my window was to photograph the lovely little birds that hop on an off the metal tree.
I wasn't expecting a Jumbo Jet when I had planned a light aircraft display, I think your getting my meaning. Just inches from the glass window this pigeon was shuffling around on the branches to get in the position where he could pinch the seed.
I walk right up to the glass before he flew off and I then noticed him on the roof ridge of the house opposite, just waiting for me to disappear. I soon ruined his craft tricks by removing the metal branch where he could sit and reach his lunch. If he arrives again he may end up as my next lunch.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and FAV's, hope you weren't singing the sound of music all day.
Made me laugh!!! Unfortunately, the big ones do not recognize dainty feeders and will do everything in their power to get the food! Nice capture and POV.
Thank you for all your comments and FAV's, you will be pleased to know he did come back last night and after scrambling all over the metal tree, he gave up because he couldn't reach any seed.
Lovely shot of the pesky bird Heather. We have the same problem and i have a hanging flat seeder that they can't manage to land on. I thought I'd defeated them until I spotted them flying into it and knocking it so hard that the seed fell of then they ate it off the floor. Pigeon pie I think.
brilliant capture of this Jumbo Jet! love your commentary. Glad he is now staying away. I am sure your little light aircrafts will enjoy the seeds in peace now
