Let's go down the Pub. by ladymagpie

Let's go down the Pub.

There isn't much to do around the area in the countryside due to the weather, so lets just go down the pub for a quick half and a game of skittles.

This is my local pub, just down the hill from my home, it's The King's Head and the heart of the village. The war memorial is just outside, the village hall and sports hall from where I took this picture, and the schools.

The original King's Head has stood here since 1766 and part's of the original buildings are incorporated in the present building. Villagers have been drinking here ever since. I will admit, my days of having a drinking session here are long gone, I don't think I could keep up with the youngsters and rather dislike the feeling the next day.

Thank you for all your horsey comments yesterday, NAH a big thank you.
Quite wonderful Heather!
