Crying in the Chapel by ladymagpie

Crying in the Chapel

Is it me or does this look as if this little chapel has a face with tears dropping down from it's eyes. I found this on one of my geocaching walks the other day and thought how neat it looked.

It seems it opened in 1815 and there are mentions of baptisms from 1826 to 1906, with burials from 1863 to 1895. I could only see a few very old gravestones in front.

To give you a lovely reminder how good Elvis Presley was here is one of his appropriate songs:

Hope you enjoy it and thanks for any comments.

The more I look at this beautiful chapel, the more I think it's crying. Well spotted, Heather.
Some time ago I saw a house that was 'smiling'....

This chapel seems out of place for the time period, someone built it ahead of the times! Great catch!

delightful old church. I always find them fascinating
yes, this one does seem to have a sad face ... maybe because they are not as busy today as years gone by?
