This tree has impressed me whilst on my walks this week. It's very large and stands right in the middle of the field, unusual as they are mainly on the edge of fields and incorporating the hedgerow.
The field is extremely large and is used for crops of kale, not in season yet. It looks to me as if two fields have been joined together by removing the hedgerow and leaving the tree in place.
Whilst standing at my kitchen sink and looking out of the window, I can see the top third of this tree which is a major perching place for crows and jackdaws. You can see them making for this tree in the evenings and are quite noisy.
I'm just glad it's there and a tree to keep an eye on.
What a lovely tree it will be lovely watching as it bursts into bud so very soon now , and Snap !! I posted a tree as well today but unfortunately mine was standing in flood water !
