My first Iris of the Year

I spotted my first iris in my front garden the other day and decided to celebrate it by taking this picture. Now before you think that's lovely I didn't pick it and bring it indoors, I actually took different coloured card outside to give it a backing.

What fun I had trying to hold the various cards with my left hand whilst trying to hold my phone in my right hand. That was bad enough, but every time I tried to take the capture everything started moving around.

The card would fall forward, or the camera would shift, and worse still as I reach to press the button with my thumb, my hand would start shaking. So all in all it wasn't easy.
