Firstly it is hot outside, 28 Degrees and climbing towards that 30 mark. I'm slowely melting so daren't go out sunbathing, especially in my imaginary bikini that would upset all the neighbours.
Talking about the neighbours, these are the homes of my neighbours with my nest being on the other side of that section sticking out towards the pavement. Whilst walking home I decided to capture my near journey.
That used to be the village shop and in the early 80's they decided to build a litte minimarket on the other side, parallel to the road. After a few years it was decided that it was to big for the small village, so in 1985 it was converted to a bungalow and became my nest in that year.
As you can see they are some lovely terraced cottages with pretty gardens. Not many people move away from my village of Middleyard, so therefore we have all become close friends for over 30 years.
To live in a place where most people know you is a real bonus in anyone’s life. We’ve always been lucky enough to live among people we have known for years…..might not be for everyone but is for us that’s why we only moved less than a mile nearer the village. Interesting history of these cottages.
Beautiful cottages and I fully understand about neighbours. We have lived in our street for nearly 40 years and know most people in the street. It is such a nice close and not many people move away either! Good neighbours are invaluable! Fav
