Rock star, artist, potter, painter, luthier, street musician...the dreams of teenagers are so hopeful. Today's One Night Stand challenge was "street," so this is my son, Tommy, playing his guitar on Main Street in Orleans.
@northy No one even walked by! We live in a tourist area that is extremely crowded in the summer, but barren in the off season. It's the best of both worlds, and I kind of like that.
What a wonderful shot! It's funny because I was just thinking how common it is to see someone sitting out playing music on the street here, but how relatively unusual it is back home.
He's a love! And you picked such a great spot. It says a lot. Pedistrians, bikes, brick sidewalks, no people in the winter. I'd say a winner all around! Love you too!
@paulaag He plays electric guitar too. In fact he is building his own electric guitar at school. It should be finished in the next few weeks. He's been working on it all year.
@lauriehiggins , ohhhh, so cool! my brother and nephew built a guitar for my nephew and he is so very proud of it! it sounds great too! i need to get a picture so you can see and I'd like to see your son's when it is complete!
@christiehicks I'd throw money in his guitar case, too. ;) Tommy is such a nice person, and I can't wait to see some of his artwork this summer. Great street shot for your project. It's hard to believe I used to work diagonally across the street from this shop on Main St, Orleans, MA.
