Kandos Weir by leggzy

Kandos Weir

Still catching up from the weekend & being away....so many photos makes it difficult to choose which one to use for each day!

We went for a drive on Sunday to a place called Dunn's Swamp, a beautiful area on the Cudgegong River that was dammed back in the early 1900's. The river has beautiful cliffs along it's banks, but you need to have a canoe or something to be able to get close enough to get a good photo of them.

I've chosen this one for 27/3 photo.....the dam wall, that's called Kandos Weir. We had a beautiful 4-5km walk to get to the weir & beyond. We had a really lovely day here & the weather was just glorious. TFL :)
What a lovely photo. You have captured the weir & locality really well. Have heard about Kandos, but never been there. Definitely somewhere to visit.:)

I really like the reflections which only add to the depth of the overall photograph - excellent!

@365projectorgjenfurj Thanks Jen - it's not in Kandos itself, but is called the Kandos Weir - it is actually out at Dunn's Swamp, which is further east into the Wolemi National park from Rylestone & Kandos. Well worth a visit if you like to bush walk or kayak etc.
