Donated to the Gunning Historical Society by the Pye family. An original slap hut, the house is in its original state from circa 1886 to 1887.
The Pye Cottage Museum, established in 1975, was moved piece by piece from its original site near Dalton, by the Gunning & District Historical Society.
Thank you all for following along on my month of old buildings. I need to come up with more ideas for themed months. Any suggestions?
What a great shape of house - and a super name! Nicely captured. As for another theme ... well, not sure about that ... good luck with the the wracking of the brain!
