Blackhill National Park had a raptor event today and it was funtastic. The event was a fundraiser for a local raptor rescue. They brought some of their birds and two other groups brought their raptors. It was amazing to see about five types of owls and six types of hawks up close and personal. It was free but I believe they raised more than their goal. This snowy owl was one of my favorites.
Wow! What an experience this must've been, to be this close to a magnificent creature like this. I bet his feathers are soft as silk, but I bet that beak keeps anyone from finding out.
I heard about this on the radio this morning on my drive to work. Must have been a great event!
