Bob showed me a picture from the local paper this morning. There was a Native American Festival yesterday and today not too far from the house. I sent out two texts to photo buddies and my afternoon was set. I really lucked in when I joined my photography club. I can usually find one or two at the last minute if I want company.
@debbie3108 I goggled meetup and then photography and got lucky picking one that is a fabulous sharing group of photographers at all different levels from pro to beginners. They are all about photography but not competing against each other. I got the suggestion from one of the photography books I was reading. I have learned so much and it is wonderful finding friends with like interests .
@lesip I looked up groups in my area but want something less formal, and don't want to be restricted to every Thursday evening we meet, if you know what I mean. think I will google that and see what I find.
This is a great photo, Leslie. I love all the detail you captured. I am googling meet up and photography and finding others in our area I hope to go out with and take photos. My husband does not mind but I have time that he does not have and would love to be with someone else taking photos. Thank you for the tip. FAV
