Night test with the new camera. Didn't feel the cold (much) and it passed with flying colors... no flash
Our HS football team is undefeated this season and today was the semi-finals. Living in a small town High School sports is a big deal and football is the biggest. The stands were packed and everyone seemed prepared for the cold. It was another great night 33-0. We are on our way to State Finals Thursday at Ravens Stadium in Baltimore. Yep football here is a big deal.
The ISO performance on that D750 is incredible! Yup, I'm convinced. It's my next upgrade. (heads to piggy bank and starts counting) ;-) Wonderful image Leslie, I can feel the charge of the crowd in it...
Love your processing, it gives such clarity to the facial expressions. As a result there is no need for a focal point because by nature we all explore faces.
@radiogirl if it wasn't for wanting to test the camera out I wouldn't have been there (too cold). It did make my husband happy because I know he really wanted to go.
I can understand the excitement - our town still talks about the year we made it to the state finals - never ever seen that many people in one high school stadium (we're a town of 3500). This is a remarkable shot for lighting - that new camera is outstanding! Such terrific detail.
Love this beautiful shot! Congrats to your hometown team! I've traveled to Oklahoma from Iowa this football season to watch my grandsons play. Their team is undefeated too and will be in the semifinals next Friday so I'm off to Oklahoma again. You are right, it is a big deal for small towns. FAV
Great shot, Leslie. Love all the detail you captured. They do all look so into the game. How fun. I love what you said above that your husband wanted to go. You are expanding your photography this way too. Did you process this photo? FAV
