Shetland Library by lifeat60degrees

Shetland Library

Another dark day although there was the odd sunny interval. Wind picked up during the day and likely to be very windy on Thursday with a lot of Scotland covered by a weather warning of wind.
The Library in Lerwick moved from this building a few years ago to an old church but I think it was quickly apparent that the old building was more suited to the job and it is now back where it belongs.
I like the symmetry. The narrative about the move of the Library is fascinating so, being terminally curious, I looked it up: https://www.shetland.org/blog/a-bright-new-future-for-the-shetland-library

The light, the lines and the hint of the interior details - such an interesting image.

@ankers70 it’s strange but although the old church was a lovely building there was something not quite right with it.

Interesting, I took a photo of my library for 365 and it was a very windy day here.
