Despite 60 mph winds thanks to the direction the bay at Hoswick was relatively calm and walking here was a joy compared to around our house which is less than half a mile a way and very exposed. Hoswick has a very good climate compared to rest of Sandwick due to it being sheltered by hills to the west. Only issue with that is that it loses direct sunlight a lot earlier in the day than the rest of Sandwick.
