Love Lock by lily

Love Lock

A bridge in Copenhagen connecting two parts of the city has now become a place romantically symbolizing the bridging of loved ones. A couple buys a lock and writes on it or have it engraved. Then they put it up together and throw the key in the water. It symbolizes eternal love. If/when you get children you add a smaller lock for each child, I think it is such a sweet idea :) There are already lots of locks on the bridge and of course I took lots and lots of shots, it was really hard to pick just one to post…

I love street art; it is pure and raw – straight from the people. We actually have quite a lot of unofficial street art in Copenhagen, there is someone who puts up knitted stuff around the city, someone else have these funny stickers produced that you see in strange place all over the city – and you can also be lucky to find bead plates!

I’ve had a terrible day today just sitting at home trying to write my BA paper… But the ride out to the “love bridge” (I’m gonna have to call it that from now on ha ha) in the beautiful sunshine did brighten my mood.
Ohh yeah – and this shot is SOOC :)
