I can’t imagine why Eddie gets so excited about eating these little dry bits of God-knows-what, but he lives for it! Eddie knows how to tell time. Every evening about 5:30 he starts getting restless because he knows supper should be served soon. Tonight we were distracted by goofing off and eating pizza with the kids and somehow we forgot to feed Eddie. He must have begged enough table scraps because he didn’t even remind us.
Eddie was in the proverbial doghouse with me today anyway. Apparently when I let him out after his breakfast this morning, he ate every green and red cherry tomato he could find (and there were quite a few) and they didn’t sit well in his stomach. He “deposited” them on the floor in the bathroom while I was taking a shower. He just never learns. Neither do I.
Oh no. Too many tomatoes don't sit well with me, either. I wonder why dogs never learn, though? Carlos never does, either... Eddie does look very "into" his dinner here, though! Glad his tummy is feeling better...
It is rather amazing how they can get so excited about being fed corn meal, meat by-product, crude protein, and whatever else makes up dried dog food, every single night - night after night. I'd lose my mind. But of course Eddie supplements with tomatoes. Sounds like he had a bit too much of a good thing today. Poor guy.
Good dog portrait. Eddie has that good internal dog clock. It is too bad he got too emotional and took revenge by eating the tomatoes. His poor stomach paid for that one though. My dog eats things in the yard when he gets emotional, even though he knows they will get his stomach upset.
