This lovely old clock belonged to my late mother-in-law. ‘Tempus Fugit’ is a Latin phrase that generally translates as “time flies”, which was coined by Virgil in the first century BC. To be precise, he wrote ‘fugit inreparabile tempus’ which translates as “it escapes, irretrievable time“. I find the original rather more compelling, but it’s not exactly snappy I guess. For the mundane - clocks challenge.
In other news (but still related to the photo), guess whose new lenses arrived today? It’s going to be a fun weekend.😄
@thewatersphotos I got two! (January sale, end of year bonus, sometimes things come together) I got a 25mm f/1.7, and a 100-300mm f/4.0 - 5.6 zoom. My camera is mirrorless so they are equivalent to a 50mm and a 200-600mm on a full format. I'm so excited!
Oooh exciting about lenses.
A FAV!
I made the collage challenge clocks because I figured that members who entered this mundane challenge might have a few more photos than this one to be able to make a decent collage. Would you be able to put together a collage for it?
