Mama Osprey arrived with lunch for the fledglings, but she wasn’t keen on giving them anything with me standing below. One of the babies was getting impatient and popped his head up despite the audience. The other two kept laying low.
A cool Osprey fact - if you zoom in you will see that the adults have yellow eyes, but in the chicks they are amber. I’m not sure when the change happens.

Excellent shot! I think it's that way with eagles too- the babies have the orange eyes and the adults have yellow.

Followed the tag "fledgling" and found we'd both been following osprey with our cameras! Interesting, too, to see you in Canada, so I'll be interested in following your photos as I search out mine in the Maritimes! Thanks too for the info about the eyes of the osprey!
