Gabe Skyped Us Tonight from Vangvieng LAOS

Photos from Skype
I was on Facebook tonight when I received a message from Gabe to Skype us.
We had not used Skype on my computer before, so we were very chuffed to find it worked a treat.
We spoke for 40 minutes - so wonderful to see and hear them in person.
They moved the computer around to show us outside - wow! what a culture shock.
We held Jay the wonder dog up to the camera so Katrina could see her - soo good!
Gabe had been sick but was now on the mend - all good.
Just thought to share as I know how supportive you wonderful 365ers are.
It's always good to know your kids are safe and sound, wherever they are in the world :D

Skype is wonderful! Free and the only way I have been able to see my newest grandson in France so far.

What a delight, Lois, to see you've had live photos and a wonderful conversation with Gabe and Katrina! Aren't we just overly blessed with today's technology?! We hope to use Skype to stay in touch with our new grandbaby in the next couple months. You got some wonderful photos from the screen! Glad they can share the excitement along the way as it's all fresh! Best wishes to them as they travel!

FYI, I heard from Billy that they left Dill at his Kitty Condo yesterday...said he traveled quietly and made his way right to his space on arrival. Of course they always feel a bit guilty leaving him, but he'll be well cared for! Did you happen to see the note from Tamera (who lives in Halifax) asking oif she might drop by to visit him? Apparently he's just down the street from where her husband works. We may get a winter Dill photo one of these days! I'll be sure to let you know as I told her to email me and not let me miss it!

What fun! I've never used Skype but I know it has become quite a common way to stay in touch with loved ones. Love your little collage.

With today's Technology you don't have to be apart even if they are way out of your normal reach so a Mom can stay close, see and hear them..and know that they are safe...isn't Skype great???
