A lilac tree on Jerry’s grandfather’s grave

When Jerry was growing up he remembered his grandmother planted lilac bushes around his home. Every Memorial Day they would cut branches from the bushes and make wreaths to take to the cemetery for their loved ones graves. (We honor deceased family members on this day as well as servicemen). His grandmother planted a lilac bush by his grandfather’s grave in 1949, that bush is now a large lilac tree! For my final half and half this month! Thank you Nicole for running this challenge, it’s been a good challenge for me, seeing things in halves. 😊
