2. "what on earth do you mean by that people ????"
3. "Are you joking? 'that' is considered 'art' ???"
4. ohhhhhhh.... hang on just a minute ...just maybe I can interpret it my way.....mmm.... let's see....
Thankyou to yet another beautiful work colleague who was happy to be involved in this 'concept' piece.
Since starting 365, this is the shot that has come the most easily.... I am happy because for the first time, the idea in my mind 'almost' translated into the final product. YAY! :)
@woodsy999 , @skyalin, @nattybabe , and everyone...... I now need to expand my commentary to include steps 5 to 8!!.............

6. Feel confused and visit theme blog and visit www.photopoly.net/understanding-minimalism-in-photography/
7. The ‘penny drops’, and I am pretty sure I have misinterpreted the brief!
8. Make bleating noises & try to recover dignity!
ummmmm... I chose not to view any other of the theme entries so I would not feel intimidated. (DOH) My research started with Wikipedia which reads “Minimalism describes movements in various forms of art and design, especially visual art and music, where the work is stripped down to its most fundamental features.” After checking with the guys at work and discussing the Tate Gallery and Guggenheim, I had this great idea on how to actually achieve a picture that was 'not' a picture, and was inspired by the monochrome work titled IKB 191 by Yves Klein ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:IKB_191.jpg )
mmmm...luckily I am laughing at my mistake, still pretty happy with the creative process, and when asked I will use the excuse that it “is” minimalism of one sort, and I have ‘thought outside the (blue) box’!!!
If there is one thing I learned in doing the photo marathons, themes are largely about your own interpretation. I still love this pic and I wouldn't be too upset if I were you. :)
PS.....nice earrings!!!
