bee-ing

'Spring flowers + sunny day = I want to tackle a bee shot.'
After 90 minutes, I discovered there was a second part of the equation I had overlooked ....'head in bush of flowers... leads to ... head covered in pollen = hayfever'
So while I did not get stung this time, again I came away with a headache!

(yes @nicolecampbell - my frustration with the bee's constant movement was immense!!)
Wow! That is a fantastic photo! You can see every hair on thebee's body!

Fabulous - 90 mins well spent, apart from the hayfever! Is he missing a wing or is it flapping about? Super!

I know exactly what you mean Lyn; they are not cooperative at all! Lovely photo though.

@clarek it seems to be blurred into invisibility - I had to use a highish shutter speed as it was quite windy.

@darrenburch - after my last bee adventure ( http://365project.org/ltodd/365/2011-08-14) I am happy to report they left me alone this time!

@nicolecampbell @juliehill - yes the frustraion was driving me nuts in the end - lots of snaps of nothing but flowers; good composition but out of focus, and plent of bees without heads!

@judithg @maribelrivera - the purple is striking isn't it? It is an Australian native plant Hardenbergia violacea that has brilliant colours.

@ladyrazzor @petra @loopy12 @denisedaly @aspada @rainbowsnic42 @kayley - thankyou for your kind words of encouragement

That's a great bee shot! I've done a lot of them, end up with 5 good shots out of 100.
