Each year over 400,000 people visit the Floriade flower festival in Canberra which showcases over one million bulbs and annuals.....plus apparently a few fine feathers!!
Several 365ers met up to mingle with the masses, and we were most suprised to come across a 'street parade' of drummers and costumed dancers from Uruguay, and the suprise sounds, colours and movements (!!) had Lyndal & I turning into instant paparazzi, so this shot of the dancers 'entertaining' the crowd is my lasting memory of the day. :D
(oh... and the fact that Lyndal's team won their grand final)
what an unexpected surprise to come across this carnivale-like parade! the drums & dancers were amazing... not to mention those feathery costumes!! this is a wonderful capture across the flowers Lyn!!! =D
(oh... and YIPPEEEE! =D)
I think that Lyn would agree with me that those girls didn't stop dancing the entire time & wouldn't have had a chance to get cold... also there were lots of men who seemed to enjoy looking at that 'garden' ;-D @nicolecampbell
(oh... and YIPPEEEE! =D)
Oh, and it was my team that won too YAY!! =D
