I did not have much time today, and this seems to be the 'best' of the shots I took. I am happy with the exposure of the white flower, (I was trying for low contrast shot, but with strong deep tones) and the POV, but perhaps it needed a bit more space in the frame. Overall, I am really not sure if this works as a whole or not, so I am happy to hear your thoughts.
@aspada mustard walls and really bright green leaves - the 3 strong colours seemed to fight each other for attention. This is actually a test frame taken in mono just to give me an idea of what it would look like, and ended up with the best focus & composition - but of course that gave me fewest colour options. (ahh...live & learn - or I just need to capture better shots more consistently!!). Did you think the leaves needed to be more prominent? ....oh and the fragrance in my kitchen is wonderful... :)
@ltodd The flower is perfect... gardenia leaves are such a gorgeous green and they are smooth and shiny. They could make for a beautiful composition against the velvety petals with the right light and DOF. I envy the perfume in your kitchen!
