This was one of my favourite buildings I saw of the whole trip - but frustratingly, every day I photographed it, the weather was miserable - the Danube anything BUT blue, and not even any definition in the clouds. :(
@monika64 Thanks Monica :) It was so different for me to take 'tourist' shots for such a long time. I really love being inspired by the 365 community, and I really missed seeing the world through other people's eyes. I am slowly getting over my jet-lag, but finding it hard to settle back into (hum-drum) routine!!
@ltodd how long have you been back then? Its funny coming back home after an overseas holiday, I tended to photograph like a tourist for a while after I got back. :)
@monika64 yes, I REALLY know what you mean! One week home but and only now starting to stop feeling peculiar being back in my own home! I found I had to be in the same place for at least 5 days on my holiday before I could stop just taking 'tourist' shots. Fortunately.....there was pretty good weather for most of the time in Santorini so I felt some reassurance that I had not completely forgotten how to take more 'creative' shots. :) Let's hope I can roll up my photographic sleeves again soon!
The day I got back there was some clown day at my local shopping centre and I was there wondering what country (or planet) I was on. I was so jetlagged and it was so surreal but I took photos anyway.
Everything will feel normal again too soon :)
@bdb3471 definitely infected with the urge to keep on moving...but now it is back to reality & work hard to 'see' and appreciate the unique beauty in the local areas once again.
