I have not worked very much with perspective, so this challenge was something new with lots of lines & angles to consider.
Crickle's original photo and WWYD challenge rules are at http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/13826/wwyd-61
I masked the frame on the right wall and enlarged it, placing it on top of the original frame, which is normally a good way of saving time and not having to mask out the original object.
I used a shot I took last year of ripples on a pond for some of the texture on the wall; the photographs of the girl are stock images from http://jjustynaa.deviantart.com/ and I quite like the 'inconsistencies' they bring to the image.
OMG this is just brilliant.... I saw this competition but due to my lack of editing skills felt unable to take part (silly me) Your talents are amazing and I think this is just totally incredible... got to be a fav for me ♥
wowee Lyn! this is so darned cool!! absolutely a fav for me!
i uploaded two shots for my get pushed challenge (aug 6 and 7.......I'm behind!). I've had a busy week and didn't get to spend as much time looking for abstract shots as I would have liked. it was a great challenge and just so happened to fit this weeks theme too:)
this is brilliant! really well done... i love how the reflection of the girl isn't really a reflection, but you have to really look to catalogue why not :)
Lyn, nice edit and discussion on technique! I've seen and used this non-symmetric reflection technique and it really looks good here...adds a bit of mystery to the setting.
LOL - it took me about 30 minutes to get that bit right - I invented the name of the portrait --- 'Marie Claire' (as in the magazine) was the first name that popped into my head) and the lines under are something meaningless about her imaginary life like ..."she walked down to the river" !! :)
