My Get pushed #6 buddy @carolinedreams asked me to take a shot that showed my face.
Like lots of 365'ers, I can think of many things I would prefer to do over posting 'selfies', but pushing through the discomfort, I learnt that I need to look at images of myself in the same non-judgemental way that I look at images of everyone else.
I love this Lyn. Very elegant and beautiful. I like the processing- like a 1940s hand coloured photo that has been a bit water damaged. Reminds me of the beginning of Treme if you've ever seen that show. Well done, a great Push response.
@carolinedreams Thanks Caroline - I have not seen Treme, but I can see a similarity to the advertising materials. However I did think of 'The English Patient' once this was finished. I had taken all of the shots with a period feel in mind. I would NEVER have posted anything like this if it were not for your challenge. :)
this is an amazing portrait! really beautifully posed and amazing processing... and all that much more impressive as its a selfie.... those are hard hard hard!
