anzac biscuits by ltodd

anzac biscuits

traditional biscuits and a sprig of rosemary for rememberance.

My biscuits are a little 'flat' because even though I took a special trip to the store to buy all the ingredients, I managed to leave out the dessicated coconut!! LOL!!

Here I am shooting with direct sun coming through a diffuser placed behind the biscuits. I don't often shoot high key & found quite a difference to a normal histogram and contrast. I think I need more practice with this style for food photography (and also in cooking biscuits)!
Lovely composition! What is a diffuser or what did you use here? Forget the biscuits, though they would still be nice without coconut!

@maggiemae I used a 5-in-1 reflector - see http://phlearn.com/how-a-5-in-1-reflector-can-improve-your-photography-today
but you could also use baking parchment for macro shots like this, or even 'net' curtain material for larger shots. It stops harsh shadows.
