in Hermanus which was built in the 1850's. Those tables on the right along the wall, are gutting tables built in 1904. The last boats in the harbour were in 1958. It is unique in that apparently it is one of only two harbours in the world that has been conserved in takt. Since 1972 it is an open air museum.
How beautiful! I do believe it was in Hermanus that our young (at the time) son got his head stuck in-between 2 very large rocks when trying to catch a crab. We seriously thought we'd need help to get him out, but eventually out he came after being held upsides down and turned until we managed to extract him - still holding the crab in his fingers!
While it would be very nice to see some of the close-up details of this area, I love that you have chosen this perspective to show the whole set up! It makes it so easy to imagine what it was originally intended for
This is so interesting to look at- you must be quite far above it for us to see so much. I'm assuming the tide is out with so much of the stone harbor showing. I love the color of the water.
