This was the restaurant where the local Lions' group met for their dinner and meeting. It was Ladies night so I was welcome with my camera. This is outside on the verandah which overlooks the beautiful Moeraki Beach with its long stretch of white sand and wonderful Moeraki Boulders.
Three good things:
1/-Television One was able to drive out of Dunedin and up here to film the passing over of a cheque raised by the Lions to the Neurological Foundation. They raised $5000 this year.
2/- The moon came up again over the sea (strange that!) and was a picturesque sight all the way home but it was too cold to stop for photos.
3/- Managed to move a huge scotch chest from one place in the house so our new cabinet will fit. Result: one sore back!
This looks a very welcoming place , it draws you inside somehow, love the warm lighting! Very well done with all the money raising... a very substantial amount!
Sounds like the perfect spot to sit and relax and look at the view Sorry about the back problem. Take care of it and you!!!! Congrats to the Neurological Foundation--that is wonderful.
@pachelbel Thank you Veronica - apart from the intense noise of everyone talking at once, I did - the best part was walking outside and listening to the lovely sound of the waves!
I love restaurants with an outside area to sit like this. You just have to hope for reasonable weather in the UK...hence there aren't many such restaurants over here! xx
So sorry, I'm behind with everyones photographs. Lovely light on this, it makes it feel so welcoming. We went to Moeraki beach but it was so grey and chilly, amazing boulders, I've never seen anything like it.
