Outside the hotel it was all big Bikers, big Bikes and lots of thunder from the big machines. Then along came this trio! The dog, a papillion didn't fit the macho image at all! However it didn't know that and led its two meek owners right into the hotel.
Three good things:
1. Bikers can come from all classes and backgrounds - executives, mechanics, journalists etc
2. Reading up on the US Presidents for my short display on the bronzes on each street corner in Rapid City.
3. A Red Lobster meal that set us up for the whole day!
I have come to enjoy these wonderful inconsistencies in people. We have a friend who looks like a giant grizzly bear. Most people would think, "Don't cross him; he'll bite your head off!" But he's the sweetest, most gentle soul you'll ever meet! Fun shot! Sounds like you're enjoying the food!
Great street capture. They look like they both have their faces in their phones too! How can a photographer get those great expressions when this is what they do!! They do look at odds with the scene.
Maggie..if you give me you email address I will email that photo of the Indian motorcycle. I knew you loved motorcycles but had not idea your were related to the Burt from the "The World's Fastest Indian"...Very cool!!
Fun photo here...you are right the dog isn't the image you would think of...but he seems quite comfortable. Enjoy!!
I think the dog is the boss here...... It will take a real man to manage that little Papillion.....the small ones are the fiercest!
Loads of motor bikes, is it some special convention you are at? They all look new & shiny!
@happypat its a world renowned Bike Week where hundreds of thousands of bikers trek in and have a ball! They are so proud of their bikes that they wash and clean them every day!
@eyesmile Well thanks Gena thats very thoughtful of you . I can actually put that photo on to my desktop and then import it into iPhoto. I am surrounded by Indian bikes of different ages at the moment, but always love to see a new photo!
lol , my grandmother so loved the cheesy biscuits and would always wrap the leftovers and into her purse they would go ...Also love this shot and all the goings on here!
Great shot, Maggiemae. This guy not only does not fit with the dog but does not look happy. Love all the bikes to the right of them though. Yum, Red Lobster is so good. It is easy to fill up on their delicious biscuits/scones. You can go in and just get biscuits to go and munch on them in your room. Sounds like you are enjoying your trip and the food and feeling a lot better. So glad.
