These are hung at short intervals all the way down the main street in Oamaru on both sides. I wish mine looked like this.
A busy and eventful day with the first of the funerals. Many tears shed but the tears of the children were hard to listen to particularly, 5 year old Ruby's sisters.
Three good things:
1. No time to sit and think, it was go, all day!
2. Many many people donated their time, food, and support for the family. One lady who was in the food business, catered for two function at no cost.
3. All the guys wore pink ties!
I very stressful day then maggiemae.....a young persons funeral like that is hard to take specially under those needless reckless circumstances!

So pleased you have your family with you Maggiemae. At such a sad time you need all the love and comfort you can get! Keeping you all in my thoughts and sending you lots of positive vibes to help you through this very difficult time!
So so hard for you all Maggie. Great that you have each other but nothing makes up for the awful time you are all going through. So wonderful that people are supporting you all and the flowers are lovely.
What a thoughtful gesture by the men! How heartbreaking for all involved especially the children! Tragedy always seems worse when they are involved!
