A wind storm here today and thought I’d photograph wind but initially put it on a movement setting - no good of course. Tried for a lower speed but it let too much light in. I need a UV filter to concoct somehow.
Anyway I used one of the first photos on the blossom which actually was imitating being at a wedding. The air was full of blossom!
Three good things:
1.There are one or two tulips out of about 40 that still isn’t naked.
2. My book is published and live. If you want to see it on either Amazon or bookstore.balboapress.com search for either, “A Mother’s Memoirs” or author: Margaret Jessie Munro Hip hip hooray!
3. John stares at me in awe - a published author! Ha!
An instant fav Maggiemae . Wonderful light , flow and beauty of the abundant blossom !! So envious when I have been out in the garden this afternoon tidying , cutting back , and really preparing for winter !!
Wow Maggiemae...I am so impressed to be the friend of a published author. Will check it out now! Love your blossoms , such beautiful light! You must be thrilled after all the work you put in with your book. Wonder what mum would have thought?
@happypat Thats what John is always asked - what would his father have thought! My Mum would have been thrilled, I know! I'm also very happy its turned out so well after years of work! Thanks Pat!
@salza I haven't told them yet, Sally - its a tricky subject and I'm not going to kowtow even though I did change the title! They can ask me about it and they haven't yet! I am awful!
Lovely soft shot Maggie.. have just read your book review.. and it looks very interesting, will hunt it out ( I don't have a kindle) sounds like she led an interesting life..
This is so beautiful. Instant FAV.
Congratulations on having the book published too. Now I'm off to Amazon to check it out. (Mine are all on there too.)
Very beautiful light, comp and pov, fav. Your sentence "The air was full of blossom" is almost as beautiful as the picture, and reminds me that it will be many months before the air is full of blossom here--still, air full of falling, colourful leaves is also lovely. Congratulations of the appearance of your book, you must be very proud!
@maggiemae the numerology ones are only there because I wasn't able to get rid of them. Once something gets listed on your Amazon Author's page, there's no way to have it removed--even if you've requested that they be taken out of print. If you read my biography, you'll see that I wrote my memoir, Sincerely Wrong, to warn people not to go that route.
This cherry blossom is so pretty. We used to have one as children and always used to think it was confetti when the wind blew. Super capture.
Congratulations on becoming an author! :)
Congratulations on your book being published! A wonderful achievement. I hope the sisters are suitably impressed!
Congratulation on being an author now. fav. for this lovely image.
Congratulations on having the book published too. Now I'm off to Amazon to check it out. (Mine are all on there too.)
