Trying to look at the familiar and use the knowledge of the camera and apps to finish the picture in another way.
This is a wild corner of our garden with poppies growing up through lillies and delphiniums plus ferns or whatever else has managed to survive over there. I liked the softness that a ‘water colour’ could add.
Good in the black.
Three good things:
1. Got up earier due to various reasons and appreciated the extra time in the morning.
2. Didn’t cough much during the night so both of us slept better.
3. Master chef encourages my creativity - I toasted almonds to put in the broccoli salad as well as grapes and chopped bacon.
How on earth do you get a black background like that? Where you up in the night......with the torch light on the flowers? Your garden does you credit! So good when you get up early, you feel virtuous & can get so much done. I watch a Masterchef but it doesn't inspire me to try .....Harry doesn't do fancy!
I like the watercolor effect that your processing adds to this natural scene, along with the pops of red. Glad your cough is better and your salad sounds delicious!
Your garden is beautiful. I loved all the colors. What a great photo. I need to use what is built into my camera better. Still learning. Glad your cough is better. Reminds me that I have to put more cough drops there as they help me a lot when I wake coughing at night. FAV
@darsphotos I have learnt that a wet cough is good - stops the lungs developing pneumonia so mustn't use a medicine that inhibits coughing! Poor hubby has to put up with it, though!
beautiful and bountiful. the soil in your garden must be so rich for the plants to grow at will. i love poppies and hope to grow some next season. the salad sounds nutritious but i will leave the bacon bit.
I love wild parts of gardens we can b too neat and tidy. Fav. Almonds and a slash of cream add something to finely shredded and fried cabbage or Brussels sprouts also shredded and lightly fried
That salad sounds scrumptious!
