Night Scene by maggiemae

Night Scene

On our 2 night caravan choice and we can’t believe what photography can challenge me with..
A historic property: The planting of the property began in 1878 and this was named for the wife in that era who began her life in Yorkshire,England!
We relished the peacefuless of this Park where other people camped. Nobody screamed, nobody had arguments , the trees grew forever and the sheep moved late in the evening..
Three good things’
1. I went for a walk around here and got very tired and was grateful to sink into our caravan couch.
2. A really old Pub for lunch - imagine - sausages, 2 eggs and chips for NZ$12!
3. Turned off our TV (in the caravan) to listen to country music! Saw this scene outside our door late.
Is this the shower & loo department? Lovely green light, it sort of beckons you towards it, quite an alien look! Nothing better than sausage, egg & chips!

@happypat You are right! - the toilet beckons but we have our own toilet. Trouble is with that huge lunch, I felt so full for hours and hours!

It seems to be floating on water. Great lighting and colours.

Great colors in the low light. I love the blue hour and blue and green are my favorite color combo!

@alophoto It's not completely dark at this hour, Amanda. But it was nice and warm outside!

Looks a bit lonely.
January 11th, 2017
I am surprised at what appears to be very little noise under such conditions.
January 11th, 2017
Love the lighting and colors...you captured it well
January 11th, 2017
Very evocative and creepy beyond words! :)

January 12th, 2017
Nicely composied to get the light of the structure and still get the silhouettes of the trees in the background
January 12th, 2017

I began my life in Yorkshire, England and as you know, now live in France. All things are possible! Pleased to know that you're happily and comfortably settled in your caravan. Continue to enjoy these 'refresher' days.

Loved the story Maggie and the photograph looks so quiet and peaceful even if Pat does think it's loo!
January 12th, 2017
@s4sayer It is refreshing to do absolutely nothing - except eat, walk and read, Margo!
January 12th, 2017
@skipt07 The children are mostly good, Skip - unless they are all having water fights!
January 12th, 2017
@maggiemae - You miss understood me. I meant grain from noise that you would expect from a high ISO under low light conditions. But I see you pulled this off with a low ISO of 80.
January 12th, 2017
@skipt07 I always forget to up the ISO on night shots.
January 12th, 2017
@maggiemae - If you can get a photo with this kind of clarity in low light with a low ISO I wouldn't up it at all. Unless you want a grainy look.
January 12th, 2017
Sounds like a lovely camping spot. I thought this looked like the toilet block!
January 12th, 2017
@kiwichick It is beautiful, Lesley and this is the toilet block. It doesn't look anywhere as nice as this during the day!
January 12th, 2017
I like the colors and blue hour tones. I had a feeling it was the loo- but still it looks so quaint!
January 13th, 2017
Great night shot.
January 13th, 2017
Sounds like you have all the creature comforts in your caravan.
January 13th, 2017
@skstein Yes we do, Sandy - why we enjoy it the most! Heater, TV, oven, bathroom, double bed and all very compact!
