Wigwams by maggiemae

Wigwams

Very appropriate that we, as Indian fans, stay here! They are each a little room, circular with two cute little windows. A comfy bed, a bathroom with Mexican tiling and TV and fridge. But no cooking facilities.
We are in San Bernadino.
Three good things:
1. Couldn't find a shop that sold fruit or yoghurt - only beans and hot peppers - not a breakfast ideal. Did get a tin of fruit though.
2. It was so hot here - 35deg (95F) but there was air conditioning in our tepee!
3. Uber - a fantastic option for transport! Once registered, you just ring it and enter the destination, a nearby driver picks up your location from your mobile and tells you what the price is, when he will be there! Our one last night gave us an iPad and we could choose the music to play! We chose Frank Sinatra and headed down a well-lit motorway playing, New York, New York!
Beautiful lighting in your photo, and what a wonderful place to stay! Fav!

Ooh , so romantic Maggie ! on par with glamping I should think , except the cooking facilities -- perhaps they didn't want you to burn down the wigwam !! Hope you will soon find your fresh fruit as beans and peppers are not my ideal breakfast food either ! You seem to have a wonderful time Maggie -- continue and ENJOY !

@beryl Well, I hope to enjoy Beryl but get brassed off when its too hot to go out and you can't find a shop. The area here is not the best. But we will be safe in our tepee!

@tonydebont It is comfortable, Tony - if you plan to buy meals - cold - somewhere, then the pool is only 5 metres away, you are set for a good evening!

The best thing of all is the connection between "The Indians".....and the teepees! Too perfect for you and your husband. I think it is so funny that a California town would not have fresh fruit and yogurt in every store on their streets. This is a big fav for me - the whole story is just great!
May 24th, 2017
@louannwarren Thank you Lou Ann! We didn't connect with the Indian connection until the motel host remarked on our T shirts - an Indian connection, he said? From then on he was taking videos and allowing us extra time to check out!

Lovely lighting...I like that the light on the far right is larger and brighter and the people sitting there give such a nice sense of the evening. Looks lovely.
