Back home and I needed to experiment with my so called UV filter bought in the States. Didn’t work. I tried to get a blurred background using a close focus and liked this scene. At the back is very nice garden with tulips, rhododendrons and particularly, forgetmenots!
Three good things:
1. Our lawn mowing crew came in… minus the lady who had the ride-on! Now - have they had a quarrel, is the ride-on being serviced? They are just a couple but they are both fiercely independent!
2. Back home is good… but then so is travelling!
3. I would miss my piano if we stayed away too long!
I got a UV filter a while back, I'm not really sure what difference it makes. I don't use it anymore. It was a gift, I asked for a polarising filter and my hubby got the UV one by mistake.Good luck with it!
Cute image. Most people use a UV filter to protect the glass of there lens it shouldn't have any effect on your image. A polarizing filter alters the light waves and will give a more saturated image depending on the conditions.
I had a polarizing filter on the camera when it was given to me but found it darker and harder to focus with so I took it off. The ND filter was really tricky- also much darker and the instructor was saying to use live view to focus instead. I used the view finder that day but I think I'll try live view next as many were slightly out of focus. I hope Mr. Owl gets things cleared up- he's too cute to be so flustered.
@olivetreeann Thanks for that info - had to find out what 'live view' was and it becomes more interesting. Since this photo, I have actually found out how to adjust aperture! Had the camera for weeks!
@maggiemae There are many of us in the same position- I'm still learning things on mine and I haven't even scratched the surface of what it can do. I need "assignments" to make sense of what I'm learning. I need to carve out some time to watch tutorials on Youtube but then I'd be on 365 less! hehe
