On the way to our Beach camping site on the East Coast of Marlborough, as expected passed through acres and acres of vineyards. But this is the difference…..the floods from the past Cyclone have had an effect on this particular one!
Three good things:
1. These vineyards belong to ‘Wither Hills’ and their wine is to be relished!
2. The wild and pebbly beach didn’t encourage swimming but did encourage a chair in the sun to read.
3. A walk through the giant pine trees was delightful. My feet trod through blue Viper’s bugloss, the gold of Dandelions, the white upright flowers of Queen’s Lace and the red gold of the pine-needle carpet!
Such gorgeous intense colors you have captured in this one. I love the patterns to but I'm sad to see the vines flooded I hope it doesn't destroy their crop.
Super shot - Hopefully the resultant wine from the vines won't be too diluted! I agree about Wither Hills wines. Had a lovely platter there last week with my cousins.
Sure is a great capture. Hope they don't lose any of their crop. We don't get Wither Hills wines over here. We don't get many NZ wines at all really. Cant wait to get home and have a little wine tasting :)
oh my goodness that's awful...I know it was something my Dad always hated for his vineyard...too much rain. He said you can deal with drought ..too much water is a huge problem. We've drunk their wines.
Looks like what might happen if you crossed a vineyard with a rice field! Great reflection shot- the color of the sky is superb after a storm like that.
Your number three sounds very colorful
Lovin all these wonderful names!
