This is where we ended up! Crossed the straits between the Islands and took a panorama photo off the ferry.
North of Wellington we had chosen this Park to spend the night. There was this Event here and although it intruded on our peace, we applauded the idea.
An event targeting children and their families. Called the “Just So” festival.
At night the lights in the little pointed tents were worth a photo.
Three good things:
1. John was able to watch his rugby while I listened to Indian drums and watched the firelight set among the river stones.
2. From one scene to another - a wild ocean beach to a quiet (?) bush clad retreat!
3. Able to recharge all computers etc on the ferry!
