After watching one of the activities over the stream - the “Just SO” Event, it was not too early - yoga, we set off for further north. Chose on our GPS the number of a Camping Site and followed instructions. Took us through tree filled valleys and endless turns. Found a Domain where hundreds of horses were obviously having an event ( with their riders in charge). Not for us and we went on…. another Domain - Pongoaroa. Tiny little town with a store and a hotel.
The local church was great, but late, 2 laden bikers arrived. I photographed them just in front of our van!
Three good things;
1. A lovely small old church which I will post when internet is available. Not here - no TV, no cell coverage, but electrical connection.
2. The amazing things that happened here - about 15 guys in red berets and a big store of beer arrived in a van! Heaven knows what that was about!
3. Our oven fell to bits..meant we had to eat our tea luke warm. Fixit in the morning!
Sounds like you had quite a day. I love your positive upbeat attitude about everything. How fabulous to have this interesting subject for you to photograph.
