In the middle of the South Island Lake district, the lake features in the distance - as does the tiny and famous church in Lake Tekapo. This is a life size sculpture from wood. I like the emotion with that famous background. (Another photo in this area was chosen for a TV1 photo at weather time!)
Terrific, looking sculpture, but it looks like it’s just their temporarily. I think I remember when you took the photo that was featured on the TV Weather show.
This is new since we visited that area a few years ago…..when we stayed with you actually. That gorgeous colour if Lake Tekapo. Might get back to see it one day soon now family in S Island.
A great image showing it in its beautiful setting. The sawn off tree stump in the clear area did make me wonder whether this area was once pine forest...
