This was the large lounge where we stayed recently. It is in the back blocks of Otago in Gold mining country and is all by itself- the only other houses accommodate the staff. It has a huge fireplace and you can imagine the rain pouring down outside with the flames flickering over there in the back. People read, played games and listened to music. So peaceful - there was no cell coverage so nobody could make loud calls.
John is reading over there in the corner by the light and the Christmas Tree.
I would love to stay there maggiemae...such a warm & welcoming look....John looks very content reading there ......bliss! My son & DIL could never get any reception for their phones until they got to within about ten miles of Hamilton. They recently put up a new mast & so can now receive reception, they have never told anybody as they love the peace & quiet it brings!
