This bridge appears to go into the side of a mountain - actually it does. The road on the bridge leads to a tunnel along the Oregon Coast. In our family, we honk our horns when we go through tunnels - my dad did it for me and my husband did it for our kids. My husband still honks the horn, even though I'm the only kid in the car now; but it always makes me smile and evokes fond memories.

It was taken from the parking lot to hike up to Heceta Lighthouse and the lighthouse keeper's house (that is actually a bed and breakfast). There is a north- bound and a south-bound entrance to this parking lot.
Well we do have a lot in common, my dad honked the horn when we went through a tunnel too! I still do it when I have friends in the car and we are on a road trip! Great shot of the bridge.
