Darlingtonia Forest

I might go to this park again tomorrow and get there when the light is more overhead. It's called Darlingtonia State Park. It's the only park in the state of Oregon dedicated to the protection of a single plant (see link below). The plant is also known as Cobra Lily. The blooms are all gone - what is left now is what you see - insects crawl up into these pods, fall into the stem and become "dinner".

@hobgoblinwychwo @dinogirl Thank you so much for your comments and for the FAV! I did go back today, but also went to a site across Hwy 101 at Sutton Lake and decided to go with the evidence of wind shot instead of another "darlingtonia". Thank you both again!
