Ethnic Nativities by marilyn

Ethnic Nativities

A closer look at my "ethnic" nativities... A friend brought me the big brown one from Rwanda; my sis-in-law brought me the Eskimo set from Alaska; I bought the coconut shell one in Hawaii; the one hanging and the small one in front of the coconut shell are carved from olive wood in Bethlehem and were gifts from my sister, Katy; I purchased the four small ones in the front from a Fair Trade organization; and the ceramic jug nativity is Mexican and was the first nativity of my collection.
I have the bean and the egg in my collection too! I can't remember where the egg came from,. I think Tia gave me the bean. That makes 6 nativities that we have the same! I love this collection

It's so nice that they came from different parts of the world! (Make sure you write notes and store them with the pieces for future generations!)

I thought the blue ceramic one was first.

@mkbowles Nope... I think we bought the "jug" while we were in Virginia... but I do know it was first. The blue set was next and then it just went viral from there! :)

@marilyn I don't remember seeing the jug one when I was growing up, so that's why I thought it was newer.

@cimes1 Thank you so much... if you go back a few days in my folders you will see more of the nativities... andsome of my other Christmas collections. :)

@mkbowles It was never one of Dad's favorites, so when I got the blue one the jug got put away for a few years... until I started collecting. :)
