PAINTING WITH FEATHERS

Without a camera to hand, (WHY ?), I saw a Blackcap outside the back window on one of the closest feeders. I watched till he flew away and got a camera, and waited for 30 minutes to see if he would return, as you will have guessed he didn't. However there were many other things around including this Long Tailed Tit. I took this through the window, and was going to discard it, as its not really super sharp, but looking at it more closely I quite like the effect it's got with the soft focus on the the very fine plumage. I think the bird looks almost as if its painted.

You're becoming more picky. I think generally your shots are much sharper than they used to be.

@dh Thank you Delena, I think that is a combination of things, better lens, listening to judges comments on mine and other peoples photographs at the camera club and far, far too much practice.
