VIEW TO THE SUMMER ISLES

A warm welcome to my loyal followers, I am back, finally. No idea where to start, how do you condense 3 days, 3 isles, 400+ miles, and hundreds and hundreds of photos into just 3 posts ???
Monday morning drove up to Ullapool for some REAL Fish and Chips, had wanted to go on a Wildlife cruise but it was cancelled as there were not enough passengers. However had a pleasant afternoon wandering around and then headed north in the van. After a few miles turned off the main road and entered the delightful world of Scottish single track roads. After a long drive past Loch Lurgainn I finally arrived in a place called Achilitibuie. I had supplies for the night but suddenly made the wonderful discovery of a fantastic pub, Am Fuaran Bar at Altandhu, serving fabulous food in a picturesque location at the bottom of a mountain, nestling in a little bay with views over to the Summer Isles. From a view point on the mountain, I think the pub is the small white house on the left, I could also see my targets of Lewis, Harris and Skye. Many photos later at around 11.30 I parked up the Wee Beast ( my little van ) right at the foot of Stac Pollaidh and went to sleep.
A stunning vista , & great dof . it sounds as if you will have lots of beautiful photographic memories of your hols !!

Beautiful. Stac Pollaidh is one of my favourites. Very photogenic from the ol' single track roads :)

@beryl Thank you very much Beryl, oh yes just a few shots, haha.

@zigzag33 Thank you very much Linda, yes those single track roads have a charm of their own, but it does tend to wear off a bit after the first 20 odd miles or so.
