Down on the rocky shores of South Walls, an island linked by a causeway to the bottom of Hoy were a pair of Ringed Plover. Just around the corner was another Plover with a young chick, but as the clouds came in, and the light got worse I decided that as I had these shots, I would not spend too long trying to get a really nice shot. Big mistake, when I looked properly on the iMac at the shots I did take, it was a Little Ringed Plover ! Never mind.
