This is NOT a good composition. I wasn't trying for one. After yesterday's close up of a little blossom, I wanted you to see how you might spot these in the woods at this time of year. Deer, birds and other critters partake of the ripe berries from this plant.
Got all the ivy roots dug up today! Bath and bite to eat. A nice glass of wine to celebrate and I'll join you then! Cheers!
Yesterdays flower was beautiful! I enjoy seeing the whole plant, could have walked by it a dozen times and never realized the full beauty of it's flowers!
This is a beautiful photo, Maggie. So true in so many of our photos that we miss the smaller things within the big picture. I see what you did the close up of yesterday and this shows so many of the deer berry flower. You sure do live in a beautiful place.
Oh wow. I was waiting for the perspective in scale. Love this. Really brings out how tiny yesterdays was. And I love green, its my favourite colour! :)
@redrucksack Appreciate your kind comments, Eva! Thank you so much!
@marybz Thank you, Mary! Always appreciate your visit!
@mantha Thank you so much for your kind comments, Sam! The ivy is all out of ground any how. LOL! Now to finish pulling it off the roof and out of the screen and lattice work... that might take me a year! LOL!

@vskolnik LOL! It's pretty small! Thank you so much, Vee!
@karenann That is such a nice comment, Karen! Thank you! They hang down and are usually under the leaves so they would not be noticed unless you were looking for them.
@ellimae Thank you, Ellen! Appreciate your comments! Dewberries look just like blackberries, except they grow low to the ground and blackberries can get very tall. They are very, very thorny, and viney too. This shot is a deerberry which is a member of the blueberry family. No thorns and no vines. There are also sparkleberries which are very similar to this but different. Here is a link on deerberries... http://www.namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=1589
@wannabe They're pretty small. LOL! Thank you, Catherine! You are so kind and thoughtful! xo
@cindyrez LOL! Cindy, I only finished digging up the roots. Now I have to get it off the roof which will take a half day, and dig it out of the screen and lattice work which might take me all year! Thank you for your kind comments and visit! Most grateful to have them!

gosh they are tiny maggie, just goes to show what a good macro close up you did the other day.......it's nice when we see the 'whole picture'. Hope you enjoyed your glass of vino :) ...what was it rosada, tinto, blanco.......rose, rouge, blanc....... rose , red or white ...spanish, french or new world !!
I didn't realize they were so tiny. Glad you shared the total picture....lovely! Congrats on the PP with yesterday's photo of this flower!!! Well done.
is that the dreaded honeysuckle? that stuff smells nice but boy is it hard to get rid of! not native, it will choke out everything that should be growing there. But I do like the way they look!
I really like the contrast of all the little white Deerberrys against the green leaves! I think it's a better composition than it may have seemed Maggie haha :)

@msk1p2 No, this is a "deer berry." It's a wild native shrub and not a vine. The berries are food for deer and birds. Yesterday's shot explains more.
@nicedof Thank you, JP! Appreciate your comments!
